4 Days Safari on Manyara, Tarangire, Ngorongoro, Serengeti

About 4 Days Safari

There is plenty you can see and do on a well-planned 4-day safari in Tanzania. Every day is different, and you never know what nature has in store for you. If you want to add on a short and crisp safari to a Zanzibar beach holiday, a Kilimanjaro climb, or a business trip, a 4-day Tanzanian safari is highly recommended. In 4 days, you can spend 1-2 nights in Serengeti. So if your time frame is short, and you really want to visit this amazing park, then a 4-day safari is the right choice for you.

Budget permitting, a fly-in to Serengeti will make the most of your precious time spent in the bush. In any case, you will see plenty of wildlife, from the big 5 mammals to birds. You can bring down the cost by choosing adventurous budget camping, or you can overnight in authentic African tented camps and lodges for truly memorable evenings in the bush.

What you can expect on one day safari

WORLD FAMOUS PARKS

You will cover Lake Manyara or Tarangire national parks based on your preferences and suitability for the time of year. Manyara is famous for its flamingoes and its tree climbing lions. Tarangire is famous for its large herds of Elephants and Boabab trees.

BIG 5 AND MORE

4 days of game drives almost guarantees you plenty of wildlife, from giraffes, elephants, zebras, lions, buffalos, cheetahs, rhinos, hippos, hyenas and a whole lot of other smaller animals and birds.

THE SERENGETI

The world's most famous wildlife park that hosts the most spectacular migration of the Wildebeest. Only a 4+ day safari makes it logistically possible to reach these grasslands.

4 Days Safari Itineraries

4 days of safari from Arusha allows you to cover 1 to 3 national parks depending on what you want to explore, how much distance you want to cover and other parameters. Below are some example itineraries. Contact us for a personalized itinerary, detailed information or if you have any questions.

VISIT 2 PARKS

You can choose two parks from Tarangire, Lake Manyara and Ngorongoro Conservation Area. If you prefer canoeing or walking safari, then the first day you can visit Arusha National Park. You will overnight either in Karatu area, which has some great lodges and is a relatively short distance to any one of the 3 major parks. Or in a lodge or tented camp inside a national park, depending on your budget.

VISIT 2 PARKS IN 3 DAYS

For most travelers visiting the Serengeti is a must. If you are not one of those, and you are happy to get more quality wildlife experience with lesser non-game drives, then this itinerary might be for you. We can also include cultural elements such as a visit to an authentic Maasai village or to the Hazdabe bushmen one of these days.

VISIT 3 PARKS (INCL. SERENGETI)

The following is a special itinerary to observe the great migration during the calving season that lasts from late December to early March. You can replace Lake Manyara by Tarangire national park, and you can also fly into Serengeti on day 1 if that suits your budget and preferences better.

ALL 4 DAYS IN SERENGETI

If you’re pressed for time and the Serengeti is your priority, cut out the driving and fly there. A 3-day fly-in safari lets you maximize your time in the Serengeti, and also features a visit to the stunning Ngorongoro Conservation Area. You can also fly in and fly out from Zanzibar. This trip can be customized to a great extent.

4 Days Safari Prices

Safari prices depend a lot on the quality of accommodation chosen, whether it is located inside a national park or outside, the number of people in the vehicle, and the time of travel.

Day safari trips cost depending on the national park visited and the number of participants per vehicle.
